Challenger Concept Size Comparison
Challenger Concept Size Comparison
Ok.. now, when i saw this link:
http://www.allpar.com/forums/index.p...pe=post&id=516
i was shocked.. that link states that the Challenger concept while using a shorted LX platform of 116" wheelbase, is actually a whole inch longer than a 300, and 1/10 an inch longer than a Magnum, a WAGON!..
Challenger: 197.8"
Magnum: 197.7"
300: 196.8"
basically the same size as a Magnum:

now.. that pic doesnt do it justice.. no point of reference.. sure it's as big as a magnum, which we all know is a very big car.. how big is it compared to other modern "muscle" cars...

yes, it's true.. i looked up their lengths, and used their ratio vs the Challenger 's length and did the same ratio of lenght in pixels
not only is the challenger longer, but in order to keep it looking proportional, the whole thing is huge, it's tall!.. look how heigh that "waist" is..
it'd be no surprise to me if the rumors were true and this thing weighed in at over 4000lbs

It's a big car no dbout. That is awesome work FS. Like I have said in previous posts, this car to me is the modern day GTX/Coronet RT/Charger RT, it just happens to look like a 1970 challenger. For my needs, that works just fine, the new Camaro will fill my needs for a pony car.

it's greenhouse is a few inches bigger all around.. the height is really hard to get right because the way i had it set up i'm not sure where the bottom of the tires actually are..

Re: Challenger Concept Size Comparison
Since I like to autox, this car will totally suck for that because of its weight and size. I hope the new Camaro doesnt even come close to those dimensions.

Chrysler's thing these days is to do "alternatives" rather than head-on competitors for new market entries.

Good work!!!
