Re: Camaro wave?

Interestingly, there were 6,618 more Vettes made in 2001, as well.

ouch!

edit: I didn't even think about production numbes. come to think of it, I see a lot of corvettes in the summer (mostly 98 and above C5s). If I were to filter out all 1998 - 2000 Camaros and 1998-2000 C5's out of the group, I'm wondering which I would see more of?

That dame "3" button is too close to the "2" button on my computer.

Yep, I know in 2001 & 2002 Corvette outsold Camaro (sad but very true).

But, all Camaros made from 1998 onwards look the same. If the 2001 & 2002 Camaro's looked different than the other 4th gen, then I think the rareity of the car will create the type of acknowledgements Papertarget mentioned he got driving the special edition Firebird.

Again, it's about how exclusive, unique, or rare your car is to get an acknowledgement from someone else driving the same car. Mustang drivers tend to give a thumbs up to someone driving a same year Cobra, and I'm sure the person driving a 35th Anniversary Camaro gets a wave from other post '98 Camaro drivers. But to wave to every Camaro, regardless as to generation of model to me seems like the same as a Cavalier coupe driver waving to every other Cavalier coupe driver he passes on the street.

Just a honest question, but don't you think waving to every single Camaro you see on the street (even Iron Dukes, "Duct Tape Specials", or the person who uses their 3rd gen V6 as daily transportation without any attachment to the car) is a little bit... um... much??

LOL

As for me waving at every Camaro YES I would, Thats who I am.

(oh boy Scotts going to kill me for making this comment) If Scott or Bob Lutz told everyone that in order for the 5th Gen Camaro to really come to live they have to see how many Camaro LOVERS are out there. So they need to have 1,000 (for a total of 100,000,000 waves for one month)Waves a month from each Camaro LOVER with Doc. of Location (apox) & time. If they cant then the Camaro will NEVER come back.
You guys would do it due to the fact of Someone in the GM Company has threated to NOT bring the Camaro back.

So whats the difference of someone subjesting it as a friendly way of saying" Hey Kewl someone with another Camaro" Or "hey I am doing this because I was told to by GM"?

We would say "To hell with GM and to hell with Scott/Bob. Where's that Ford dealership."
