Camaro wave?
Camaro wave?
I know this is not a 5th gen subject but what the hay right?
Well since my husband owns a Corvette & they have their own wave while passing each other on the street. I was wondering why cant we have a small wave for the Camaro (or heck just call it the Fbody wave). Just a fast little peace sign (or what ever you seem fit) as you see another Camaro go by, with a fast friendly smile.
(now boys keep it nice no one finger wave either
)
I see alot of Camaros out in the area I live at & I always give a short friendly wave (of course I normally get the one finger wave back but who cares
).
So how about it anybody out there up to the challenge?
Oh for intrested readers here the information on the Corvette Wave

Re: Camaro wave?
See, but Corvette is a specific vehicle.
Lots of non-camaro enthusiasts drive camaros because they made a V6 form for those who wanted a sporty look.
I don't think you could make it nearly as consistant as Jeeps or Corvettes can.

Re: Camaro wave?
It would NEVER work. There are too many camaros and too many non-enthusiasts driving them (mostly the V6 cars) for this to EVER work. Maybe in 30 years, they will have the "Classic Car Wave" that the 1st and 2nd Gen owners use...
Re: Camaro wave?
The cars I've owned that were absolutely, positively, no-doubt-about-it, garaunteed to get waves,(beeps, flashing lights and thumbs-up), by other owners of like cars....were my Omni GLH and my VW Corrado.
I can't really remember ever getting a "wave" in my Camaro.

Dude, I dont think those people were waving. They were waving their arms in terror because they never saw a box driving down the street. Those were some ugly little cars!
Re: Camaro wave?
Hmmph, F-Body owners of all Gens sometimes give me a wave or a "what's up!" look. Sometimes I'll start it or they do. Then there's the little rev, but more times than not that means they wanna run! I find it easy to talk to F-Body guys most of the time, at lights, by following them for a while, whatever. I've even had that stuff from M*stang guys a few times. (the "nice car" and the rev of course!) Keep your car clean (I gotta have everything really clean
) and you should get something.
) and you should get something.

Re: Camaro wave?
i would guess that there is no "Camaro wave" because it would be considered metrosexual at best (before metrosexuality it would be considered as gay).
but seriously, what's the effin point??? i'm driving a camaro, you're driving a camaro, we can both SEE that each other is driving a camaro. so we need to wave each other on top of it to make sure we know that the other person knows that we know that they are driving a camaro??? no.
a nod as in "you wanna run??" is what you usually get in a Camaro.

Hey, those cars were very cool!
I wish that I still owned them. The GLH, especially. There is nothing like the look on someone's face, after they've just been blown away by what they thought was a little sh!tbox.

Also lots of v8 F-body owners like to stare down upon v6's so that also doesnt help. But I always got a return from the Camaro enthusiast.
Corvette is a different story. Its like two Ferrari or Lamborghini owners crossing paths in a way. I'm sure Viper owners are the same as will be Ford GT owners.
