I think it looks fantastic in and out . All of those little interior details like the stiching on the top of the armrest , seat belt clasps ect. ect. should carry over , their cool . The TFT instrument cluster and simple centerstack looks cool as well .

I was just going to say the same thing...

Its a Cadillac its not necessarily supposed to be in your face with design, supposed to be subtle and elegant..

Not wearing a diamond encrusted grill w/ a clock around your neck.

The design is appropriate for the car it is replacing. I also imagine it is designed to be converted into a limo.

Maybe...

Then again, I am 37, and I like it.

Actually, after I posted the reply I got the terrible feeling that maybe I'm not that far away from that.

203in in length.... that is one LOOOOONG car. It's got too inches on the current Impy, and about 5 on my Magnum.

I really like it. It may be a bit understated, but look what the new Acura's tried, and they look aweful. To me it is a elegant, sleek, and recognizable design. Ever since the A&S designs arrived at Cadillac I have been a huge fan. I am not that old either - early 30's.

Most people have moved over to SUVs to meet their full size needs. I'd rather own the SRX than a large sedan. Same goes for Equinox over the Impala.

I like the exterior. Kind of looks like an A8 from the side. But I'd like to see the interior in a dark color. I can't stand tan interiors.

It doesn't have that skin-pulled-tight-over-muscle look that other Cadillacs have or have had.

It looks cheap. Not a direction that Cadillac needs to go. The STS & SLS are better looking cars than this one.

--suggest you wait until you see it in person.

Pictures of 3/4 front I think are bad -- does no justice whatsoever.

I can tell you this: We just moved it to the turntable at NAIAS - -it required about a dozen and a half security guys to get people out of the way in order to keep it moving down the aisle............

I think you're going to be surprised when you see the car --

The SIXTEEN goes back to 2003 --

The XTS to me is all about elegance -- not 'in your face' -- and there's lots of rear seat leg room - wide as well.

Keep in mind, this is not Cadillac's 7 Series or S Class competitor. This is a DTS replacement. In that role, I think it'll clean up.
As a DTS replacement, it's a big step forward.
As an MKS competitor, it does the job.
As what I'd expect from a Cadillac flagship, I'm still on the sidelines.

It's a good looking car no doubt. The interior is OK,

I can't put my finger on it, but something's missing.

Hardly.

Keep in kind we're talking about a top of the company, Flagship (for now) car.

The current DTS is 207" long.....5" longer.

Crown Victoria is 212" long......10" longer.

This new Cadillac is less than a thumb longer than an Impala.

It's less than an index finger's length longer than the last Grand Prix.

Current Town Car is 215".....14" longer!

Even the current BMW 7 series is marginally longer at 205" and the MKS is 204" long....
3 and 2" longer respectively.

This new Caddy is only 202" long.....certainly not a "LOOOOONG car".... unless you're used to driving Cobalts and Civics.
