With a better product across the street GM's wont sell. You tunnel vision is your mistake. Why can’t you see your plan is only one part of the puzzle if it works at all. All companies have different requirements to succeed, your only looking at one area. Get a clue. Your repetitive jargon is getting annoying.

Yours as well.
Examples of marketing that works:
"Where's the beef"
"See the USA in your Chevrolet"
"Listen to the Heartbeat"
"Melts in your mouth, not in your hand"
"Quicker picker upper"
"You'll look better in a sweater washed in Woolite"
"Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?"
"Widetrack"
"King of Beers"
"I'd rather fight than switch"
"Walk a mile for a Camel"
"Breakfast of champions"
"Fly the friendly skies"
"Standard of the world"
"Good til the last drop"

It matters what the other companies lost in figuring GM's own losses. There are two forms of risk in a stock market: market risk and diversifiable risk. Market risk is the fluctuations of an entire market that cannot be rid of out by spreading out your portfolio over that entire market. Diversifiable risk is the risk that can be minimized or eliminated through diversification. The sum of these two items makes up the risk of investing in a firm. Analyzing the ENTIRE MARKET you can see that since 2000, the entire automotive industry has not done well in the stock market and the ENTIRE MARKET has experienced on the whole a substantial loss. September 11th along with the recession has plagued the market cap rates of all automotive firms. No matter what GM could do, their market value was going to decrease. It matters what happened with Ford and Farmer Jack ALONG with what happened with DCX, Toyota, and others. Ignoring this is a poor understanding of corporate finance.
Now I looked at the previous values of GM stock in my post a while back and I saw that GM stock had a 44% decline in value. Market capitalization is only the stock price multiplied by the number of outstanding shares. Using the adjusted rates (which are the only fair comparing device because of dividends) and the knowledge that extra shares were not issued (as far as I know), the change in the market cap rate is the same as the change in the stock: -44%. $66 bn to $15 bn is a -77% rate. Your math is not adding up at all.
Now you're acting like a child in the rest of your posts and you're gaining zero respect among this community. This thread is a disgrace as are you.
I vote for a lock on this thread. Anyone else with me?

Our country is founded on freedoms like voting and free speech. I don't understand why you keep visiting this thread if it bothers you so bad.

Hurry up to get that plan implemented..within a few years when good cars with good design come out and the new products sell themselves, there will be no need for a plan. hehe

GENERAL WATCH NEWS
Please visit www.forbes.com and read Jerry Fint's article on the Death of Buick.
Keep in mind in April of 2001 Annette Smith, Park Avenue Brand Manager, discontinued the lease incentive on Park Ave, insuring the loss of thousands of sales and planned deliveries of sold orders.
On St Patrick's Day in 2002, Buick announced the discontinuation of GREEN for the model year. Coincidence?
In 2002, the Century was offered with a $500 "value" discount if ordered in White, Beige, or Silver only. Any other color, pay more. Across America the lots were full of "boring" Buicks
In the past couple years we went from "Spirit of American Style' to "One Better" to "It's All Good" to "Dream Up". This constant shift all but guaranteed a loss of direction in the market.
Now the elimination of LeSabre, the highest quality, best selling full size car in the country. Makes sense?
Again, ask yourself, WHY? There must be a reason. No one loses so much share by being sequentially stupid.
