I don't dislike the guy, but he IS a bean counter. That's OK, bean counters should be Chairman. Problem is, he's given up sooooo many beans. If your pticher is giving it up inning after inning, don't you look to the bullpen?

You don't put him into the bullpen till you see what his pitches do in the market. See what kinds of changes he has made and then you can castrate him. Rick inherited a VERY backwards system and he has made progress on straightening him out.

Your vendeta is blinding you like a spotlight in a deer's eyes.

Excuse me, but GRW became head of North American Operations in 1994, President and COO in 1998, CEO in 2000, and Chairman in 2003. I don't think I'm mistaken when saying that is ample opportunity. You misunderstood my reference to baseball. He doesn't return to the bullpen, that's where the fresh pitchers are. It's time for the showers.

I think tossing Buick would be a step in the right direction anyhow. Pontiac - I like what they've done with it. IMO, 95% of Buicks customers will probably keel over dead in the next 5 years anyhow so why waste any R&D on it???

I agree with your analogy. Showers, bullpen, it's the same point and it's the correct point.

I think it's not so much the vendeta so much as a fault that plagues many salesmen, that I have met. Put simply, they don't listen. They just talk. When you talk to them, they are simply busy thinking of their next response.

It's a shame, but you're right. Perhaps some states will begin liscensing salespeople like Realtors. Kind of funny, massage therapists are regulated, but auto salesman have no Code of Ethics or required professional standards. A truly good salesperson listens to your needs, and makes you feel like you are his, or her, only client at that time. Such behavior not only closes deals, but also generates referrals and repeat business.

Well, I do wish you the best of luck. Despite peoples varying viewpoints (myself included ) of what you and your views are trying to accomplish, I give you credit for trying to at least do something.

Does anybody think we will hear the C-Word at this meeting???

Wnat to know what really happened in the meeting? Call 313-556-5000 and ask shareholder relations to mail a copy of the transcripts.

Since 1994, GM has had quite a few presidents of North American operations. GM has had other Chief Operations Officers since '98. He was CEO, under GM's Chairman in 2000, and just took over the whole enchalada just in 2002.

Yet, EVERYTHING since 1994 is his fault.

...............uh, ok.

Let's see, under Wags we lost, Olds, Delphi, Defense Electronics, American Axle, EDS, Hughes, Detroit Diesel, Light Armored Vehicles, Electromotive, Warren Real Estate and replaced with Saab, Daewoo, Shanghai, No Innovative Buicks, FIAT, Disastrous marketing, Record Recalls, Huge Long Term Debt, Diminished Profits, Junk Bonds. The stock is down how much this year? Anyone who tries to defend this record has no business on this site. Go read the comics, you just don't understand reality.

This stuff is getting old....

Forgive me but in our email exchange it was never mentioned exactly how many global corporations you have chaired or advised back to dominant status.

However I do know something has been mentioned about you having sold a lot of Buicks.

Enough already, you have made your viewpoint quite clear and the horse is dead. Your problem here seems to be that not everyone (anyone?) agrees with you.

You're right, I've never run a multi-national corporation, don't care to. I'm not exactly sure who should be running GM, nut I real sure who shouldn't be. Disagreement OK, or even a good argument. So far haven't heard why Wags is worth keeping. If you believe it, convince me. I'm all ears.

Re: Buickman will call for Wagoner's ouster at shareholder's meeting.

Terry Bradshaw won 4 Super Bowls.... was Super Bowl MVP twice.

He started of real slow.... took several years before he played well

Bill Bellichek, had a lousy run in Cleveland. look what he has done with New England.

Sometimes it's not always the head guy on or off the field... sometimes things have to be built up around him.

Now, I am not one who thinks all is perfect at GM, but I am not going to lay it all on one man's shoulders.
