Bob Lutz talks about Camaro on his "blog".
Bob Lutz talks about Camaro on his "blog".
Eventhough the topics posted by GM/Bob Lutz have been about Saturn...lots of people posted about Camaro. Here's an excerpt of what Lutz had to say today:
And there's more to come ... including our all-new full-size trucks and sport-utilities. I'd love to add at this point for all you Camaro fans that I'm using the blog to announce the rebirth of the F-bodies ... but I'm afraid that would be tantamount to yet another Internet hoax. Sorry.
But I do love the passion with which the Camaro faithful express their undying commitment to the object of their affections. Believe me, I've gotten enough email from you to know! At the end of the day, that's what our business is all about - inspiring passion among the faithful. That's what has allowed me to spend my life's work in an industry I'm passionate about. We should all be so lucky.
Have a great weekend.

what the link to his blog?
On a side note, a few years back, I never would have guess that high corp executives would be have their own public blogs! Its just another one of those internet applications that just caught on and now seems to be really used by everyone..

Everyone does realize he says he'd like to annouce it, but it would be the equivilant of an Internet hoax, right?
He's not saying that are coming back (even though we are pretty sure we know better)

Hmmm. What's he saying here. There's no Camaro coming or there is but he can't officially tell us?
It's too tempting to read between the lines here. It seems odd that he would mention it at all after his infamous "not in another 30 years" comment months back. I wonder if this is to renew the faith?

So in other words F body fans are out of luck if you read this. He basically is saying "you got passion and thats neat but oh well" with that.
So chevy will still have nothing on the lot I will buy or want other than a vette...Im so sick of those clowns.
The dealers ran me off to Ford when I bought my Bullitt and the lack of an F body sent me back again for a Mach 1. The dealers ran me off of the Pontiac GTO thing with the mark ups and attitude. This is tuff for me big time..man that attitude makes me mad, he is making light of it...real funny Bob.

I still don't know what he's saying, but I think he's trying, ever so gently, to raise our spirits.
Re: Bob Lutz talks about Camaro on his "blog".
Look at it this way.....
We've gotten someone at a very high level of GM to use the word "Camaro" in a positive way, in a sentence.
It's a start.

Spreaking of that... what all are we waiting on before something CAN be said? I was under the impression that the CAW time frame this had passed??
