BMW Z4: styling breakdown

The car is ugly. No two ways about it. The Z3 was nice and simple, nothing mind blowing, but attractive. As a fan of german cars and enjoying them vicariously through my father for years(He has owned Bimmers, Benzes, Porsches and Audis) I can say I never thought the germans could make ugly cars, guess I was wrong.

Not crazy about the Z4, it looks pretty overstyled.
BMW to me has always mad very good looking cars that though a little conservative, had long legs stylewise, and by no mean dull or controversial.
The new 7 series & Z4 don't bode well regarding BMWs new styling direction IMHO.
