Blue Devil Pics
Just to put things in perspective, I'm not sure how it is where you work, but if I came to work and started taking photos of the plant, I may raise a few eyebrows, but as long as I'm wearing my ID badge, I'd be fine. However, if one of you were to walk in and start taking photos (a large portion is publicly accessible) you may get away with it for a short period, until our armed police forced shows up and takes you into custody and starts asking you questions as to why you are taking pictures and who gave you authority to do so.
However, where I work its a homeland security issue. As this guy is an employee of the facility where the photos were taken, I'd suspect he could lose his job. However the people in trouble are his employers, should GM choose to press charges... assuming they had a binding contract that procludes this type of behavior.

They better be careful, because there WILL be a point at which people say "aww screw it, at that price I really would rather have the Porsche."
This is, at the very maximum a civil case (doubtfully even that...). GM would have to establish that they were monetarily damaged in some way,and then could pursue recompense.
Civil /= Criminal
Corvette seems to be closing that gap with its pricing strategy. They may find that more people with that kind of money are willing to pay an even smaller premium for the quality reputation and panache of the Porsche brand.
Let's face it, when you've got that much money to throw around you're probably not looking at hard performance specs alone. You're looking to impress the other millionaire Jones' in your gated community.
I love Corvette. But six figure Corvettes are pushing the limits of the brand. JMO.

According to http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/911/ the base price of a 911 Carrera is $72,400 USD. Base price of a 911 GT3 is $106,000 USD. Base price of a 911 Carrera Cabriolet is $82,600 USD. Base price of a 911 Turbo is $122,900 USD.
According to http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/ the starting price of a Corvette Coupe is $44,995 USD. Base price of a Corvette Convertible is $53,335 USD. Base price of a Corvette Z06 is $70,000 USD.
A Z06 costs less than the least expensive 911.
A fully loaded Z33 Z06 is $78,675 USD.
If the Corvette SS does go into the 6 digit price range, then it will cost about as much as the 911 that has 2/3 the power.

There are no "charges" to "press". There is no crime being committed if all he did was take pictures. This is not a national security issue.

That's exactly what I said earlier. My point was that at best if the transporter and GM had a contractural agreement procluding pictures, leaks, etc., then GM would have case for breech of contract by the transport company. The idea of the employee being thrown in jail for taking pictures and posting them on the internet is rediculous as no criminal act was done.
