Someone mentioned that it was at last year's NAIAS. I can't say because I wasn't there (I'm usually at Los Angeles' and San Francisco's or San Diego's shows).

I'm not sure if GM plans to import the current UTE's as Caminos, or wait for the next model which isn't far off.

As for Ford's Falcon based UTE, that idea is dead.

From Chrysler:
*The Viper based concept mentioned previously
*The new Dodge Charger
*A new variation of the Chrysler 300
*A Dodge coupe "concept"(reason why concept is in " " is because I don't know if it's a actual concept or an early peek at a production car ie: the Magnum "concept" of 2 years ago)
*The '06 replacement of the car that used to be called Neon
*The '06 replacement of Chrysler's "cloud" cars, Stratus & Sirrus
*The Viper coupe
*The new restyled PT Cruiser
*Another LX based "concept" (outside of the 300 "variation")
*At least 1 new "SRT" car.
*At least 1 new Jeep

Some may debut at other shows this season, but like Ford, Chrysler certainly won't have a shortage of new vehicles or show cars to ****** your attention.

Nothin on Caddy, Guion? You're killin me here

I'd think we'd see an XLRv before the STSv since they waited over a year to show the CTSv. Kinda keep the buzz about that car after the inital 'wow' wears off, which hasnt happened to the STS yet.

[QUOTE=ProudPony]guionM is hinting the right way about Futura in his post. The Futura was shown and press-released a while back, but there will be a name change. About a month ago, Ford lost a court battle with PepBoys over the name Futura - seems it is on their house brand of all-weather tires. Ford didn't keep up maintenance on the Futura name after the Ford Futura was dropped from production in the early 80's and PepBoys spent the money for a new copyright recently.QUOTE]

Looks like the Fusion name is close to these tires also:http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....&tireModel=ZRi

Re: Auto show season

I've listed here vehicles that has been said to debut at NAIAS but I am going to guess at a few other debuts that we might see? Maybe someone could drop a hint if I guessed right on anything.

06 Corvette Z06
06 Impala, v8 SS model as well?
06 Monte Carlo, v8 SS model as well?
GMT-900 based vehicles?
new upcoming SS models?
06 Trailblazer SS?

I am. It's only about a 20-25 minute drive for me. Parking in downtown Detroit is always horrendous though.

The LX "concept" is said to be very close to what will be produced. That is what they are saying over on Allpar. The Firepower maybe the HEMI Viper that we have been hearing about. I always thought that the Crossfire would be a lot more fun with a V8.

The 300 variations could be the 300 coupe or the LWB LX, rumored Imperial.
