I can't wait to have my 5th gen personally, but for the 6th gen.. maybe a 3200lb, aluminum framed, 350hp car that gets 35mpg on the highway.

That'd make me happy.

For the 6th generation? 5-10 years from now I would hope that it would be possible. Camaro pricing might be alot more in the future.

Alot of weight saving methods and materials which we might think are unthinkable today, WILL be commonplace in the next gen of everything.

Well since we're going on with the 6th Gen talk.....

I would like mine to fly and to cook for me while I sleep on the way to work. I also want 350 miles per gram of plutonium. I'll probably opt for the HUD but pass on the flux capacitor because of the weight. I'd like the car to weigh less than 1500 lbs too since I plan to race it at Reno against P-51's, you know the Mustang....

It's a whole new world now. CAFE will be forcing the automaker's hand on weight like never before. In addition to cars getting smaller, materials like high and ultra-high strength steel will become commonplace - their somewhat higher cost being secondary considerations now. Also expect aluminum, titanium and CF to appear even on the most basic automobiles.

Ford has already publicly stated that all of their cars will lose 200-300 lbs. Expect every other automaker to follow suit, starting now.

Even worse, when they ride side by side with the guy in the right lane.

Well, we know by the Mules that the production version will be smaller and lighter than the Concepts, no surprise there.
And since we know nothing of the final size and weight, I can't say I want one smaller or lighter, yet.
I don't want a Camaro to shrink into a sorta G6 with a V8. I'm not 5'6" or 160lbs.
I wouldn't mind seeing it more track oriented.
Available with a clean, very functional, not cluttered, no frills approach. Covering all the fundamental basics well, not optioned like a Cadillac Coupe.
Outside that; "if it doesn't aid performance, it's left off".
