I would just like to point out the 305 5-speed cars with the G92 performance packages ran just a tenth or two slower in the 1/4 stock for stock and would walk the 350 on a road course. Same goes for the 5.0 fox in a scca race.

Yep, 71 & 72 were the only years I wasn't sure about.

Edit...
After some research I found that only 70's were rated at 360 while 71 was rated at 330 gross and 72's 255 net. Plus I think the 70 had a 396 option rated at 375hp. Interesting but I think you have to give the nod to the early 2nd gen TA's and there after it was no contest.

Yeah, forgot about the TTA, its one of the fastest f-bod's ever made, up there with the 92 Firehawk, GMMG ZL-1, LS-1's, and the COPO camaros like the Yenko 427, 69 ZL-1, and Berger cars.

yenko, berger, nickey, B-M, etc were not COPO cars, but special dealer cars.
The only COPO car is the ZL1, which is probably the fastest fbody ever. I dont know if you can count the ZL1's made by GMMG/Berger as they are a dealer car, not a GM car.

For what it's worth......

Dave Hill won't have anywhere near the control of the next car, that he had with the last.

I wouldn't be surprised at 400 hp in some versions....and even beyond in others.
