yeah it's the Cobalt with badge engineering in there.

So far there were no pics but speculation about it arriving.
Personally I like the Cobalt colors better as it looks more upscale and the "SS" trim looks great and aparently they aren't satisfied just yet and GM is still tweaking it as we type this.

I don't think the Pontiac looks anything like the Lancer, except that they are both Silver and have 4 wheels.

Pursuit looks good, call it G4 and sell it here.

 

Pontiac vs Mitsubishi

 

See the seams around the "pontiac grill"? That's where they pop out the "Chevy grill" and pop in the Pontiac one.

If they had the Pursuit over here, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you saw the grill. Now I understand why it's not to be sold here.

 

Not even close, They both have the split grill that is it, and even then the grills arn't similar. THe roof line and over all curves of the car are very different.

I don't see it either! Maybe if you got some corrective lenses?

I see a bit in the gril of the Lancer, it looks similar to some Pontiac grills of the last few years but not the Pursuit.

 

I am pretty amazed at how much better Cobalt looks than this, and there are so few differences.

From straight on, I am reminded of the late 80's Pontiac Le Mans...

 

So what's under the hood?

 

All opinion I suppose, maybe you only see it coming from a mitsu point of view. There was a lot of dissapointment in the misubishi community when the new lancer came out b/c everyone thought it looked just like a pontiac. To me they have the exact same headlights, very similar grills, similar style three opening front skirts, and the same windshield rake.

 

Don't really know about the Mitsu, but to me it looks awefully lot like Opel/Chevy/Holden Astra w/Pontiac nose, though...

Is the Pursuit based on the Astra? Haven't paid too much attention to it, I guess...

I love the new Lancer Raliart and went to a dealer to check it out.
Way better then that old ugly 03 Lancer 0Z---but I know the new Ralliart is not totally accpeted by Mitsu people.

Even my gf picked up on the slight similarity between the grills.
