Hopefully as long as it takes to completely eliminate the coking issue inherent to a DI motor nobody likes to talk about.

Also I'd rather the DI aftermarket matures to the point that its just as easy to modify for big power as it is a port injected setup.

Frankly as long as the coyote engine can meet its power and emissions requirements without adopting DI I don't see a need for it other than to appease acronym happy technophiles ( you know like dip****s that constantly harangue GM over offering an ''antiquated'' pushrod engine ).

I like it a lot. Has just the right amount of Evos and aggressiveness of GT500's built into the style. The tail lights are a low spot but the rest of the car looks like a more modern and evolved retro look. I like that Ford kept the beltline of the car low through the rear. Modern cars all too often seem to have rear ends that are too tall. C7, 5th Gen Camaro, Ford Taurus etc.

Let's hope they are correct in that weight has been kept in check even while adding IRS and all the modern content that goes into all new cars today.

As the first of the next generation of Pony Cars this new Mustang is a great benchmark for the Alpha based 6th Gen Camaro. I hope GM brings something great to the competition.

I assure you that the rear end of my C7 is not too tall, especially when compared to a Mustang or Camaro. I am kind of confused by that comment actually.
