According To General Motors, By 2015 Nine Models Will Be Powered By Gen V Engines

Those models include the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra, and Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. While GM has yet to release information about the other six models (cough, cough…Camaro)

Interesting article. Add in the new Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Camaro, CTS-V. That leaves two unknown models.

Speculate........ SS, ATS-V

Corvette Stingray
Corvette Z06/07
Tahoe
Suburban
Yukon
Silverado

Chevy SS?
ATS-V?
CTS-V?

Camaro won't get that engine until the 6th gen which will be out in 2015 as a 2016 model.

How about the Chevy Express and GMC Savana?

(I had the Camaro in there but it says by 2015; but I'm not sure if that means CY 2015 or MY 2015, so I took it out)

Since the HD gas trucks are getting a 6.0L Gen. IV V8, I bet the Express and Savana will get that engine too.

With Zeta and VF going the way of the DoDo soon, (2016-ish???) would GM spend the money to certify the Gen V V8 in them? I wouldn't think so. That was the reasoning given on why it wasn't going into the refreshed 2014 Camaro.

Actually.... you very well may see the Gen V LT1 in next year's Chevrolet SS sedan (along with the rest of the V8 Zeta line). That includes Commodore....and Camaro.

There would be no issue doing the engines in those cars for a 2 year run.

Why would GM spend the money to certify the LT1 for one year in the Zeta Camaro? Not to mention possible engineering and build process changes.

Certifying for two years in VF would be more possible, from a financial standpoint, but is it worth the cost? No. Not with VF/Zeta having such a short life span left.

So with the Z06 coming out next week we so far have confirmed:

Corvette Stingray
Corvette Z06
Tahoe
Suburban
Yukon
Yukon XL
Silverado
Sierra

So what's number 9? It can't be the vans since those would take 2 more spots...
