2006 BMW 3-Series

Is is me... or does it look significantly bigger than the current 3-Series?

I can't tell about the size, but it looks like it's still going to covered in Bangal-juice.

Yeah, I'm on the fence with his work. In all I really like most of the lines on his cars (except that 'backpack trunk'), but I wonder if it's too progressive for BMW buyers. Have you seen the new 4-series (replacing the 3-series coupes)? Nice looking car except (IMO) the headlight and especially grill are too tall.

Re: 2006 BMW 3-Series

It's almost a rule carved in stone that any new model must be bigger than the one it replaces. I can't think of any recent introduction that violates this principle. In marketing, bigger = better and so it gives them a tangible way to show that the new vehicle is better than the one it's replacing.

About the BMW, I dislike Bangle's designs as much as the next guy, but it's hard to judge based on these spy shots. Clearly the entire hood is a fake and the lights and grilles have camouflage. It might be one of his most restrained designs to date.
