2005 Gto
I think most retarded model year designation was by Mazda. When their Mazda 6 came out in late November 2002, it was designated a 2004 model.
Now, let's say someone will be buying a used Mazda 6 in 2008. He'll find a nice 2004 model year car, think it's only 4 years old, and pay way too much for a car that in reality is 6 years old.
I don't understand the stupid MY designations. Why not have a rule that a model can be considered next year's if it comes out AFTER October or November.
THis is pretty messed up, if you ask me.

Wow, what a marked improvement. I'd think about wealing and dealing the last two years of my load for one of those.
Only thing I don't care for are the large top grills. I prefer my sports cars with openings on te lower front. Plus, for some reason the headlight/grill combo looks familiar? Maybe an Infinity? G35 Sedan? I can't place it or find the pic.

that looks more like a GTP than a GTO. the front is waaaay over the top too. looks like an Aztek. no thanks. the rest of the car looks fine, but a little too much BMW 3 series. unless that was the intended look, then it's right on.

See the top slits right under the hood in the Az? similar to the hood scoop "snout" on the would be GTO. The jarring, vertical stacked lights, the outragious grill... it's just riddled with too many angles and looks busy. I keep looking and there simply isn't a single pleasing spot to rest the eyes on. I realise those are typical pontiac cues and have appeared on GTO's of the past, but those were different times. These cues just don't look good on a modern car anymore. That's the same reason ribbs and cladding was removed from Grand Ams and such. It just looks tacky. Solstice is where I belive the future of Pontiac lies as far as design cues. A clean and instantly pleasing image.
I would take one cue from the past though. The grill does look better when slightly recessed. But not to the point of that drawing. The G6 is a good example of what I'm talking about.

G6 was just moved from the "future vehicles" section of the pontiac site BTW. Are these going on sale soon?

That GTO is disgusting to say the least. I fallen in love with the current GTO's "bland" looks.

I still don't agree with your Aztek statments but your right about the recessed grill. For that reason I think the '03 vibe looks better than the restyled '05. Also I hope the '05 GTO gets this grill: http://www.highperformancepontiac.co...cross_02_z.jpg

Let's see......
When the '05's come out, the '04's will be stacked up at dealer lots, like chordwood.
Invoice on a six speed '04 is $30,029. Minus a $2,000 rebate...$28,029. Minus $3,500 in GM points....$24,529.
That's the deal I'm waiting for.....but do I dare bring home another yellow car?
