I think a lot of the C6 corvettes are lacking the options some people want. Heads up displays and the navigation system are much hotter items than GM was expecting, so there has been a supply issue, and lots of people are waiting on "THEIR" corvette. Corvette buyers are picky, they won't settle for what's available. This could be why you haven't seen many.
Also consider that winter is just around the corner, a high horsepower, rear wheel drive sports car isn't exactly practical this time of year. I'd wager that lots of people who HAVE bought their corvettes have already stowed them away for the season which definitely contributes to why you haven't seen them all over.

didnt read all 5 pages, but i do know that around here (jeff city/KC, Missouri) people are willingly paying 10K over MSRP AND i have yet to see one on the road. combine that with teh winter weather coming in and i think ppl are buying them, and waiting for summer.
Re: 2005 Corvette sales... how's it doing, really?
The styling thing on the C6 has been debated to death and I think it pretty much sucks and will happily stay with my Z06 without so much as a momentary glance of envy. As for the Mustang, it needs no name, it speaks the language of Mustang, it is a Mustang and couldn't be anything else. I admire that a car has an identity that strong that it can achieve that where the Corvette is arguably an Italian wannabe.
However, this sis to miss the point. The last Camaro is now 3 years old and the fact remains that those changing their Camaros will buy the Mustang because there is no Camaro or anything that would even fit the bill and certainly not the GTO. Once the Mustang is bought, GM will be seeking conquest sales and the new Camaro, if it ever comes, is going to have to be something really special (ie not designed by the guy who designed the C6).
