I agree with the Corvette part. Corvette is due for the 2014 model year (as far as I hear). I magine it will be unveiled in the next 6 months, and hit dealers summer of '13.

I would think that the Gen V V8 will replace the LS3 in all performance vehicles when it comes out. Vette, Camaro and Super Sport.

If its in Mexico with the other (Camaro & CTS-V) LSA's, does it make sense to ship the engine assembly from Mexico to Australia to be placed in a Chevy SS, only to be exported back to North America for resale? It kind of makes me question the rumors of the Chevy SS getting anything more than the 6.0L (AU-built) V8 that Holden already uses.
Holden assembles alot of their own engines.

Before 1999, they made their own V8 engine.... it was small but pretty awsome engine.

And, no.... it wasn't a Chevrolet or other GM engine.

I know this. My question was do they already have an LSA (assembled in AU) or do they plan to import theirs?

If the number of LSA powered Holdens is small, it would make more economic sense to import them from GM-Mexico if they don't already assemble their own.

If my memory serves me correctly, they had a hot 5.0 V8 back in the late 80s with a unique mulitport fuel injection.
