The GT500 was limited to 155mph not for safety reasons, but because in reality it can't go much faster (aerodynamics).

Yeah, go figure. It's only $225,000 and weighs 3300 lbs too.

We've had alot of guys on this forum top out there cars. With alot less power they managed right around that same speed.

Weight has nothing to do with terminal velocity, just the amount of time it takes to get there. I'm pretty sure the Shelby could get close to or achieve the same speed, were it not for the speed limiter.
