More engine rumors.......
A 280 hp version of Chrysler's 3.5L V6 is said to be under developement and engineered to fit the new car.
And....just possibly... a straight six version of the new 4 banger.
Lemme see... I6, say...3.3 to 3.6L in displacement, turbocharged and intercooled,.....how much power is that?

Don't get your hopes up too high.
There is strong talk of the USDM Evo taking a different path than the foreign versions for the Evo IX. An N/A V6 has been discussed to replace the turbo motor and they're expecting the "name recognition" to sell the car.
The turbocharged Evos are going to go the way of high insurance prices and expensive repair bills (For accidents). Thank you American insurance companies and your lobbyists for muscleing around legislators and forcing watered-down USDM cars to be produced!
