You know I never knew that. I was talking mid level mods, but I didn't make that clear. You're right. The iron block is awesome. Especailly for high boost situations.

Side Rant:
I just hate it when mustang guys say that GM uses old technology motors(meaning OHV LS1) They should think what's harder to make past CAFE laws. A OHV 346, or a DOHC 4.6. Who's really doing the R&D. We still have just as big a motor as we had decades ago(350, 346 close enough). Everyone knows the Z28 isn't dead. Not made for 03, but everyone knows it'll be back. Just hope GM leap frogs ford.

No, not at all but i have to repeat myself constantly cause some of u guys still cant face the fact that a ford is faster and the slew of excuses and "well If I do so and so to the LS1" is gettin extremely tired....LS1 is way behind this car...it needs atleast every bolt on to hang w/ a stock one..and once u throw an exhaust, intake, boost, tune to that cobra its all over. I loved 5.0's when they came,LT1/LS1, and the dohc cars...but sorry to say Chevy is no longer in the game, regardless of what anyone posts here there is still no signs of it returning in the near future...Even there flagship american sports car doesnt stand a chance against this cobra...you gotta give credit where credits due.

I can give credit to ford, but at the same time understand what they had to do to be faster. Which makes it almost a cop out. Forget this all motor stuff. Put better pistons, etc. and through a blower on it. Done. 3months R&D and it's a rap. Don't know how long for sure, but I could have done that, and I don't have a degree in engineering.

So then you are saying that you do have a Z? Oh and the Corvette doesn't stand a chance? Where the hell did you come up with that?
