Valvoline synthetic...Any Good??

I installed the Hawk HP+ today and flushed my brake fluid and installed the Valvoline Dot3-4 High Temp fluid.

Has anyone ran on a road course with this fluid with any problems with cooking it? I usually run ATE Super Blue, but thought I would give this a try.

I will be running at TWS, which is not as hard on brakes as some other shorter courses.

Can't help you on the Valvoline brake fluid ... never ran it.

However, I will be at TWS on the 28/29th. You?

That is what I use....I only do one track event a year at Mid-Ohio, but have never had any problems with it....

You are gonna love those HP+ pads man!

I just got back from my track weekend at Mid-Ohio and they never once faded on me.....Unbelievable bite....

I run it for 30min w2w races and it works fine as long as you run cooling to the rotors, the fluid out lasts my pads, I run hawk blue's

TWS

Mitch,

Yes I will be there. I will be there Friday night preping the car. I will be in the middle of garage #2. I will be there with my brother in the blue and white Viper.

You are going to have a great time with the Motorsports Club. I have been running their events for the last 4 years and always a good time. Jack Turner runs the event and I want to introduce you to him. Once you are checked solo you can run in another run group if for some reason you missed your group.

When will you be there? Friday or Saturday morning? The gates open at 7:00 and close at 10:00.

See you there.

I use that fluid. I like it a lot. Tightened up the pedal a bit and I don't notice any funny stuff on my 60 second local scca courses.

I also have slotted front rotors, which despite some people's dire resistance to accept, do greatly improve braking and lessen fade -on my car anyway-, sooooo.... for what it's worth.
