windshield replacement

Hey all, there a scratch on my windshield, on the drivers side. looks like something like if you were to take a 8 inch fine tooth comb with diamond tips and dragged it across my windshield about 1.5 inches wide. starts from the top of the windshield and comes down about 3 inches below that tinted area on the windshield. dont know how it got there, but its there and it annoyeed me everyday for the last year. I got a quote for $175 to replace the glass, since it seems nobody fixes scratches. I want to do the replacement since its so cheap, but question is, is there low quality glass i should avoid? or just any aftermarket glass will do?

I'm thinking as long as you order a glass windshield for your year camaro...it'll be fine. They have to pass certain industry and govt. standards...so it should be fine.

I'll copy this to the LT1 Tech forum as well. I think it is more of a tech related question than appearance question but I'll leave it here as well since it could go either way
