Question Yellow engine accents on a red car?

Has anyone ever used yellow engine accents on a red, or the "patriot red" colored car? My color is closer to the patriot red (dark metallic red) color...so I guess I'm more interested in seeing that. I've always liked yellow engine accents...and being as my car is a little darker than fire engine red, I don't think I want to do red engine accents.

If any of you have done this...let's see it.

check out pics in my sig. i have the yellow accents with my red Z. my engine bay looks a little different now though cuz i put all my MBA stuff on and have been too lazy to get new pics up!! eventually i think i am going to go all black and chrome under the hood and lose the yellow and red accents. i think the yellow accents look great on red cars as long as it is not overdone.

That's like the Ricers here that put baby blue hoods on their red civic...
I personally heavily dislike the red/yellow combo. Do white or chrome or silver or somethin...

IMO, yellow and patriot red do not mix.

well...that's what I needed to know. I'm glad I got opinions FIRST before I did it, posted pics, and asked what everyone thought! That would suck.

Not that it really matters though.. as long as you had been happy with it it wouldn't have mattered. Do whutchyalike.

yeah..but I hadn't ever seen it. When it comes to doing something that I'm set on...I'm all about it. But I hadn't seen the yellow accents on a red car before..as soon as someone said mustard and ketchup....It totally clicked...I wouldn't like that either!!! That's why I was trying to get pics or something first...so I would decide if I liked it or not.

that's what I'm sayin though...I needed an idea of what it would look like before I decided. NOW, I know that if I ever did that...I'd never be able to look at my engine without a serious craving for a BigMac, fries, and a pie.

By the way...Aircop...yours looks pretty darn tight. I'm liking that a lot. Of course...with a car as badass as yours is setup...just about anything you do to it looks good. I will have to admit though...with mine being more of a candy apple red...it would look like total BUTT!

Maybe I'll just go low profile and do everything under there in black. Where nothing stands out...I'm also going to look into some MBA billet parts. I wonder if their billet red is closer to the red color of my car than the bright red...anyone know?
