Window Tint on a Convertible?
Window Tint on a Convertible?
Has anyone done this? Did you get the rear glass tinted? Do you have any pics? I'm considering getting mine done, but I'm not sure if I want the limited visibility out of an already difficult rear view.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Window Tint on a Convertible?
I'm getting my side windows tinted to 35% and that is it. I really don't see the point in tinting the back window, it is so small hardly any sun light get through anyway.

I had the rear tinted along with the sides to the legal limit. %15 in the rear, I think. Yes, it can be done if you go to someone who knows what they are doing. You can't even see where the connecters for the defroster are on the glass from the outside. As for visibility, it doesn't make it any worse than it already is. If anything it might help by cutting the glare. It's never been an issue with me. Sorry, no pics, but well worth it IMO.

Re: Window Tint on a Convertible?
In Texas there is no limit on the rear window. I went with Limo. on the rear and 20% on the side. 15% is the legal limit but it's a white convert. so I figured people would just assume it looks darker by contrast. And besides when I get it inspected I go with the windows and top down. No one has ever rolled them up to check. Been at least two years, and still looks good as new.
