Why am I spending so much on paint (pics)
I understand. I love third gens. I spend any money I have to to keep it looking great.
I have spent $10,000 on mine in the last 2 years. Mostly on powertrain. But I had to replace suspension and interior stuff also.
Theres nothing prettier than a well built 3rd gen.
EDIT: WOW! Thats looks great. Now tuck it in the garage and toss out one of those Vettes.

Thanks guys, compliments form all of you make me feel good about spending the chunk of change on her. I'm pretty much done with my restoration. Had some body parts aligned and added the IROC decals. She's my 'Boulevard car'
Sorry to dissapoint some of you purists, but I left off the lower black and silver stripes off... for now.
I'm a total Chev-head. Nothing but bow tie in my garage... except for the Harley and Ironhorse bikes, but at least their American built.

Looks great! That's a shame though as here in Germany that paint job would cost 3-4K tops w/ all that you had done as that's standard practice here. Complete tear down and the whole shabang. I don't know why it's so high stateside.
Again it's awesome!

Looks sharp ! I support you in dropping the $$ on the body work. Body work and paint are an area that is often overlooked. In my opinion it is money well spent. BTW did you convert the rear brakes to disc? That would be a good mod if not already done.

I'm always goanna be IROC loyal
