Hmm... you talk mostly about Camaros so maybe your numbers deal on with the Camaro?

There were never any yellow '93 Camaros, only Firebirds. I don't know any 4th gen Firebird specs though unfortunately. The only yellow 4th gen Camaros are custom painted or not painted originally by GM. For example, it is possible that Berger or some other modifier repainted a few yellow, but not very likely for '93.
Antz you had my old dream car lol. There were only 854 '97 medium quasar blue Camaros and most of them were not Z28s. The chrome wheels, if standard from the factory would have made it much more rare. You say it had a hardtop, I'm assuming that was without t-tops, was it body color or black? I would have to say that there are (estimate) less than 50 '97 blue Z28s with the chrome wheel option, t-top delete, with a black roof, side mirrors, and door handles. We were actually looking for one back in 2001, but instead bought the '02 35th Anniversary SS instead. If it had charcoal leather too, you should have sold it to me!
The most common colors overall for all years are red, black, white, and silver/pewter in that order. That is why you see mostly 4th gen f-bodies in those colors at car shows.
I'll post again in a little while with the total production numbers for each color over every year. I need to find out how many Medium Quasar Blue '93 Camaros were made though. I don't have that number from GM.

Overall, without me analyzing it heavily, the purple ones are the rarest for all years. When I get old I'm going to start collecting rare Camaros, not Berger, Earnhardt, Zl1, Hendrick, etc. etc. one's, I'm talking rare colors people don't know are rare. I'll have a '98 bright purple (I'd actually prefer a Trans Am in this color) and '99 bright blue Camaro for sure
.
Many of the 93 and 94 camaros have been wrecked which is why you rarely see any green-gray or purple pearl Camaros. I've only seen 2 green-grays in person EVER. This is also because of the extremely high amount of V6 Camaros that came in these non-red/black/white/silver colors, they have been wrecked, crushed, thrown in junk yards etc. A base '93 Camaro V-6 with no options in '93 was only $14,100 so it isn't surprising that many of them have been demolished.

Re: What are the rarest colors for 4th gens?
Yeah, you should fix it up. In about 10 years that is going to be an incredibly rare car. There won't be many 4th gens at car shows that aren't red, black, white, silver, or pewter AT ALL in 10 years. I don't love the purple pearl color (it's one of my favorites, but doesn't come close to Bright Purple Metallic), but it is a really interesting color nevertheless. It sure will stick out at a car show.
I wish I had the money to collect Camaros. I am such a nerd about the rare Camaro colors yet we have a silver one and red one, kind of ironic isn't it?
By the way, I looked through my info and found this out about the yellow Firebirds. There were 196 made in '93 and 304 in '94.

Re: What are the rarest colors for 4th gens?
Tell you all the truth I never actaully saw a yellow firebird/trans am or a camaro if they made one in my life time. I see them in magazines/internet sites. I would have two say that would be if not the rarest color ever on the 4th gens.

Re: What are the rarest colors for 4th gens?
Alright, here's the list of colors from rarest to most common. I wasn't right when I said above that red was the most common (oops). It's too bad this info isn't easier to find, I'd like to know the same for Firebirds. I heard that the bright blue color on the '99 Firebirds is different and called Gulf Breeze Blue or something
so I wish I had the color stuff for them now too...

Re: What are the rarest colors for 4th gens?
I knew somebody who owned a Sport Gold Metallic, it was a 1998, V6, 5 speed, no t-top, no power windows, doors, or mirrors. He claimed it was the "best color ever"
I'd have to say that his was the ugliest 4th gen I have ever seen.

Here is the rarest color 4th gen fbody for sale on ebay:

It saddens me to think that people bastardize and rag out such an awesome(and rare) car like this.

Re: What are the rarest colors for 4th gens?
If it didn't have the Ebony leather interior I'd have to agree. I've seen a few, we even considered getting one before we got the 35th anni, but it had a tan interior. Gotta say... not very good with tan interior. Speaking of cars we considered buying before the 35th anni, we were actually seriously considering a '98 Trans Am in bright purple metallic. It was really well taken care of except it had the loudest glasspack I've ever heard in my life. I could hardly bear to sit in the back seat
. Too bad too, it would be nice to have that right now, now that I care about rare colors.
EDIT: Yeah I saw that yellow f-bird the other day too. I thought it was a crying shame. Personally, I don't like it when people customize their f-bodies and don't keep all of the original parts and sell them with the car. When you ugly a car up to your tastes, it might not appeal to the buyer. I have been tempted by MANY Camaros but when I see billet grills or borla (or borla looking) 4 tip exhaust I immediately give up. If the mods are in good taste and not too extensive, I wouldn't have much of a problem buying one.
