I'm in the market for a new hood for my car and was thinking about getting the 2" dominator Cowl induction hood from carhoods.com but wasn't sure if the cowl would create too much of a blind spot for a daily driver. I figure an SS hood would be somewhat similiar but I've never been in an SS car or a car with a cowl hood for that matter. Any personal experiences people would like to share on the matter would be appreciated. Thanks

I have no problems with a 3".

 

You wouldn't happen to have a picture from the inside would you? Cos if the 3" doesn't look too bad then I know I should be ok with a 2".

2 inch is hardly noticable Mine is 1 cm tall white line above the wipers
I'll get a pic up tommorow if you still need it

BTW I have a VFN 2 inch cowl hood

 

I have the VFN 4" and you can see it no doubt while driving but I doesn't bother me. I'm sure the 2" will be fine.

 

I also have the VFN 2" cowl induction hood.....wish I would have got the 4".

 

My SS hood is probably at best 2inches tall and you can barely just see the back of the scoop out of the windshield.
