The only "VHT" I know about is the stuff that makes drag strips sticky. Is this the same product?

No, this stuff is called VHT NiteShades. Specifically for tinting tailights.

You can get it from O'Reilly, ebay and a few suporting vendors.

imo, tinting them gives a much cleaner look if you want the blackout and covers get to be a nuisance sometimes so it eliminates removing them all the time for cleaning and stuff

my blackouts on the rear look as if they came on the car...
they're so easy to take off too, just lift the hatch and they pull off....

Blackouts are really dark. I almost got rear ended a few times because people couldn't tell I was braking.

The VHT allows you to have a lighter than blackout look.

BTW, you can get VHT more places than you think. I have seen it for sale at various paint stores, and I believe Summit, and or Jeggs sells it as well.

i know...i have them too...but, to me, they are annoying to take on and off, i hate the 3m velcro that pins them tighter to the taillight, and i hate the fact that they don't sit completely flush on the light. tinting doesn't have to be as dark and it just looks better and its really just more convenient i guess is what i'm tryin to say.
