has any one tried?
The problem you will run into is the 93-97 front end sits LOWER than the later
style front end. This means the hood bump stops will be about 1 inch higher
on an 98-02 Camaro. Everything else should fit fine, but the hood will not be
able to close to the latch because the bump stops will be in the way. You
can make special SUPER low bump stops, OR not use them at all on the fender
area (there is another set at the latch area that gets changed with the nose).
This is the bump stop I am talking about :

This is the space left between the hood and the bump stop, its about an
inch of space. The bump stop is untouched from "LT1" height. The hood
is latched in the front. I was able to move the hood down about 1/4 inch
so the difference might be a little under an inch .. maybe 3/4.

Isnt the intake higher on the LS1?
I thought that was why they redesigned the front end, but I could be wrong.
I think that a cowl hood could take care of the height difference though.
Great Idea for a project!
