Lightbulb

I only found out when I changed my bulbs the other day (I went with RED!!) that the gauge cluster changed a little from the LT1 to the LS1 F-bodies, so that diagram only applied for a couple of the bulbs (I had to guess at a couple ). I got the main cluster to be all red though, and it looks sweet. HOWEVER, my light switch and heater controls are still blue-ish, green-ish, white, because the bulbs that they take are these tiny, tiny little bulbs that are about 1/2 the size of the 194 bulbs. Does anyone know if they make colored versions of these bulbs as well??

It's the same size as the ones that light up the door switches on 93-96's

Isn't the film used on the stock gauges slightly blue so that the yellowish bulbs they use stock shine through green? I ask because I thought I had seen someone stick white LED bulbs in and had them glow blue.

DEWD! Where have you been lately, haven't seen you.

BTW - That is correct information - but that is the hard way to do it. Didn't you read the new thread about there being miniature bulbs that just plug and play now?

Just order some 74 bulbs from the place mentioned in the other thread and you just plug them in - no need to buy 3mm or 5mm's.

Other thread is located here BTW. It's on the main app. page.

Awesome!! I'm definitely going to have to look into this...........I've been driving around since September now with red dash lights and blue/green HVAC and light switch back-lights! It's retarded!

Thanks for the update!

Looks great! I notice that the illumination is a little dim from 4000 to 5000 rpm on the tack. My white-face conversion with stock clear bulbs has the same slight faded appearance. Must be a spot where the light can't fully reach.

I don't have a night photo like yours but here goes.

White faced gauge conversion
