red ano rear inserts

Has anyone ever seen red anodized aluminum or stainless rear inserts for 4th gen Camaros? I want red and I thought red ano would look pretty hot on my metallic blue Z.

Red anodizing will eventually fade in the sun. Probably not a good idea for that application.

Thanks for the tip! I'll go with RKSports' red poly inserts.

Those look nice but they last only about a year.

I've bought three sets of them and the only set that lasted longer than a year was the set that is on my car that I never drive and just sits in the garage all the time

I've bought red, black, and silver. They don't last. I even saw one of their front nose badges made out of the same stuff that was on a car for only about 6 months and it was all cracked already

Wow, this is not good news, especially for something I would cop out over $50 for.

Brent, I'm assuming your vinyl will last much longer? If so I'll be making a purchase for an insert lettering and Z28 emblems in about a month.

Here's another vote against the RK Sport inserts. I bought silver and they turned Yellow fast. I didn't realize how yellow until I painted my Z28 emblems silver and saw the difference. Those things had to come off immediately they were so bad. I only bought RK Sport because I *thought* they were the only ones that had them. Otherwise, I avoid RK Sport like the plague.

A better choice would be SS Inserts (www.ssinserts.com) which I believe is still a sponsor of the site(?). I got these and they're great. Zero problems. There was another guy selling stainless inserts on the board. I'm sure someone can point you to him. Last but not least, there's always Brent, who can sell you top-quality vinyl inserts in pretty much any color you'd want. (I have a set for my steering wheel).

Thanks for all the great tips.

I think I'm going to go with Brent's vinyl for my emblems and rear inserts (I want to keep the embossed look) as well as a possbile custom design for the top of the airbox.
