Rear valance question

I want to get another rear valance and paint it black like the bergers. My question is it flat black or something special?

flat black or satin black will do, with no clear.

my suggestion would be to do what I did... Paint the panel with a good quality black paint(like the stock black paint). After the panel is painted, add matte additive to the clear and then spray. This will ensure the paint will stay nice and also protect it very well.
Here are some pics of mine.

What did you use to put behind your CAMARO lettering and how is it secured?

I had mine painted and I told the painter to paint it satin black and it turned out good.

I used a tail light lens from a late 80's olds 98 so it was long enough to cover all the letters. As for lighting it up... I just received my new EL light today to put behind the lens for light. Everything will be held in place with silicon so it is 100% waterproof.

Pics of finished product to follow soon.

well... they aren't very good pics of the panel, nor is the panel on the car yet, but this should give an idea as to what the finished product will look like.

My camera doesn't show how red the lens lights up, but it is pretty bright and should match the color of the tail light pretty well.
