Rear hatch glass coming unglued

Has anyone ever had their windshield start oozing the urethane around the seal? Mine has been doing it for a while now, and it leaves that nasty black goo on the glass and down the hatch.

The car's ten years old, so I guess it's understandable, but not acceptable. This must be fixed. Any ideas?

I just had glass replaced in a rear hatch, not for oozing, but because it was smashed. Your looking at about 125 to have it reinstalled probably.

Its just the glue from the trim that goes around the glass, at least thats what my car is doing. The trim on around the top is starting to slip off.

Is there a good fix for this, short of pulling and re-installing the glass?

When I get a chance I am going to get some kind of automotive glue or epoxy. Put some glue on the edge of the glass and reinsert the trim on to the edge of the glass, hopefully that will solve my problem.

I just ripped the trim off and scraped the glue off and cleaned the glass. It looks better without the trim anyway IMO. It is just for loooks and serves no real purpose. I just got tired of all of the sticky ooz.

Did you have to pull the glass to get all that trim off?

No, I just used a razor blade to cut the triminto sections and then pulled it off. Use the razor bladse to then scape the glass clean and clean it with like an auto polish or scratch remover to get the access off.
