Question for all you LT1 "Corvette FRC" users >

You folks that have installed the black plastic Corvette LT1 fuel rail covers on your f-bodies, I have a question:

I ordered a set from Scoggin-Dickey about a week ago. Also ordered the 4 mount bolts. Haven't recieved them yet. Anyway, just wondering how much plastic needed to be cut away from them to make them work on an f-body? Big pain the the ***? I just removed the TCS from the car. That big plastic box with it's TCS motor sitting above the engine would certainly be in the way.

Don't see too many f-bodies with these covers. I seem to see more Impala SS cars with them.

Also, any pics would be nice.

Thanks,
Ron

I used the instructions on the 2nd page for mine b/c I didn't wana cut off the end of the emblem. It was REALLY easy to do as long as you have a dremel tool. It dresses up the engine compartment nicely especially if you also do the valve covers as well. If you're interested, I can email you pics (just drop me an email) I also got a Mid America catalog and filled in the part of the fuel rail covers that say 'Corvette' with white lettering to match my car.

Well, I purchased a set of GM center bolt chrome valve covers too. Although these valve covers are heavier than some of the cheap aftermarket chrome covers available, there is one problem I see with them: I wanted to use the stock plastic screw-in type oil fill cap. These covers don't have the screw threads cut into them like the stock black steel covers, so I need to find a push-in type aftermarket cap.
