I don't know of anywhere that has them listed - but you know, MBA does do custom work...they don't list them on their website like you mentioned, but they may be able to help you out still - worth inquiring if you really want them. If nothing else - doesn't RK Sport sell aluminum badges? If you can just find some regular aluminum badges, you could get them brushed - or you could brush them. Just trying to think of any possible solutions here - but I know you would rather just buy them like you want them.

I wonder if MBA would make a custom badge, I mean like a custom design. I have the drawing sketched out, I just need someone to fabricate it, but I like the idea of billet emblem, that's definately in my list of planned mods.

That is kind of unlikely. The only reason I think they may do the other is because it is a factory design, and they could market them...

I don't think they are at all interested in doing a custom piece like what you are talking about because the market wouldn't be that great for them. I base this on the fact that they would bother with a Z06 style Z28 badge and there were quite a few people interested in it.

You may be able to try a local sign making shop though - if they have a laser cutter, you could get one made that way probably, and they might even be able to engrave it for you.

I would suggest that (^^^^^) for you to dusst, but I don't think you could get it to turn out just like stock.

This is something I've been looking for for a while. I've contact MBA, SS Inserts and a few others.

MBA told me that they have been working on something for Z28s, but that they haven't been pleased with the prototype products. They are having problems with the horizontal lines that run across the 4th gen Z28 script.

SS Inserts already makes an SS Badge. They told me that they were going to look into designing and producing a Z28 badge.

Subthump was almost going to go to production on the Z28 badge, but he ran into a problem finding someone to laser cut the 3m adhesive for the badges.

This has all happened in the last three months. I'm still patiently waiting for SOMEONE to come out with a nice polsihed aluminum or stainless steel Z28 badge...

Incidently, a lot of people mention the RK Sport Z28 badge. That badge is not the 4th gen script. I think it's done in the 3rd gen. They don't look bad, but I would much rather have an exact replica of the 4th gen badge, just in polised stainless steel, like my CAMARO inserts....

I will cut the 3M myself and slap it on the back of the badges if they will just make the stinking badges!

Absolutely, sign me up. We that drive black cars have been waiting patiently for a stainless steel (or even chrome) replacment badge.

badges

I contacted MBA a while back about making up a set of the Z28 badges as custom, and they turned me down, can't recall the reason.

Later.

I went through the same search for billet Z emblems for my black Z/28 a year ago, but found the same NOTHING available. I didn't like the stock invisible look on a black car and why I ended up going with the vintage '69 version of the Z/28 emblem and they look really good. Maybe if we ALL bombard MBA with e-mails asking for them to make a billet replacement 4-gen emblem they might make them.

Just a thought

I've got the retro '69 on my front grill but I still want some version of the stock badge on the sides and the rear.

I'd email someone if I thought it would help. Who is MBA?

I emailed MBA and got this response.

Brian,

We have something on the works.

We don't do any custom fabrication.

Paul
MBA

So hopefully soon.
