How much does it usually cost to have a shop replace a passenger side quarter panel and respray the bumper cover? The car is a Black 2001 z28. What is the usual going rate? Derek

 

I paid $700 for mine through a guy that works at a collision shop that does it on the side. Probably no less than $1000 from a shop to do it...has to be a ton of labor.

 

A couple of weeks ago I requested a quote from a very respectable body shop in Houston, Richie Collision, to repair a big dent in my left rear QP and to repaint my bumper. They looked at my car and the total came to ~$825, with a $300 charge for metal repair. An alternative I am looking into is buying a used QP for far less than the $300 metal-work charge to replace my dented one. Keep in mind, this is only an estimate, and the only legitimate way is to take it to a body shop and have them take a look.
