Problem with '97+ Tail Lights into a '94 (Camaro)
Well the first time I did this install on my car - eveything went good. But here's another round at it, and it didn't work right.
The problem is the amber's are lighting when the brakes are applied. We used a harness from a '00 Camaro, and ran an extra wire from the light blue under the dash to the light blue on the harness.
We followed this guide. Any ideas what the problem could be? Could it have something to do wtih that extra wire that you have to run?
An easy fix would be just to find a wire under the dash that only gets power under turn - so if anyone knows that, I will just fix it that way. Any ideas?

That guide is for export taillights. Maybe this one will help...

I just noticed something that I never had before on any of the guides (I have even read this one before)...
So that means that I have to cut the light blue wire as well? If so - then that should take care of it. I just spliced into it - leaving it in one piece.
The brake switch on the 93-96 models run to the turn signal switch (which controls the blinker while braking), cutting this wire does not affect hazards or turn signals.

Re: Problem with '97+ Tail Lights into a '94 (Camaro)
I've decided to upgrade to the 97+ tail lights on my 95 Z. So are you suppose to just splice the new tail light wire into the Blue wire? or do you just cut the Blue wire in to and hook the tail light wire into the Blue wire? If so where does the cut part of the Blue wire go to? cause i'd much rather just try to trace it up into the car and unhook it then tie into it rather than just cut it in two and leave part of it hanging loose in the dash.

Just follow the guide and you need to cut the blue wire, and if I remember correctly take one side of it and run it to the rear of the car. The other side you leave it tucked up into the car. I sold my car a while back so I'm going off of memory.
