From what I've seen/heard, I don't believe that Chrome ZR1's were available on 96-97 SS's, but they were available starting in 1998 as a SLP option. I believe all 96-97 SS with chrome wheels (mine included) were bought by the owner(s) from SLP directly or another aftermarket wheel company.

Not saying Wildridez is wrong. I'd like to see proof as well if it's true.

THX! LT1 tail lights look way better then LS1's IMO

oewheels... Black Chrome C6 17x9.1/2 front and 18X10.1/2 rear.

got lucky because they were a sample set a vendor gave them to try out but it would cost oewheels to much to have them made so they never had any done.

I paid $500 shipped to my door from FL to CA in 2008

my boy won some off ebay for $600 and the going price last I seen was $1300 for a set.

I spoke with Dave Hamburger the other day and he said that indeed in 1996-1997, the Chrome ZR1 wheels were an option on the SS. You could also purchase them at Chevrolet dealerships.
