I spoke with the guy that built that car Bernt Karlson (spelling?) about 5 years ago at a super chevy show in socal. I believe he is (was) painting for Boyd now. He really liked my camaro and gave me his card, he wanted me to stop by his shop some time. I wish I had now. He speaks rough english but was pretty cool even though I think they make him look like a jerk on the Boyd show from what I hear. He said he still had the car then, I haven't heard anything more about it though.
