paint question

on a 93-97 camaro, there are too parts on the front bumper cover that are black, the light area and the bottom part where the fog lights go...

so the question is, has anyone repainted these areas before? i have to get my bumper cover repainted and i wanted to paint the whole thing one color, bright red. has anyone done or seen this before, and how did it look? thanks for opinions.

Yes, it has been done. I personally think it does not look very good for a number of reasons. One, it makes the front very monotone, very flat looking, no diversity of colors. Two, people know your front end has been repainted, and may wonder how bad of a wreck it was in. Three, it may show chips worse as one color. It's your call, but I wouldn't do it myself.

what about just doing the light "sockets" the same color as the body, and doing the other part gloss black, as opposed to flat black??
