Hey everyone, I just bought a 3" Cowl Hood for my 93 Z28 (Yay! ) and I had a few questions. The paint is red (like my car) but it is faded HORRIBLY and has a lot of paint chips. How much would ya'll figure it would cost to have it repainted to match my car? Also, would it be cheaper if I installed the hood before I took it in? Or would that hinder the painting process? I know how to install it (I've put on tons of hoods) so I was just hoping to save some money. Poor college kid here Anyways, any info is appreciated! Thanks!

 

Since your car is red i would suggest you get the hood painted along with the fenders blended in......if you dont you're gonna be able to see a difference in paint color....the most expesive estimate i got was 850.00 and the average is around 550-650. As for the saving money part your not gonna save money if you put the hood on before you take it in becasue they're gonna have to take it off anyway to paint it.
