Non power window option

Does anybody know if 93 - 97 Camaro / Firebird came with crank windows? that would save some weight!

Re: Non power window option

I'm pretty sure that they did. My '98 has crank windows in it, and it's a pain in the butt. At some point in time I plan to replace them with power windows. The weight is worth the convenience.

Re: Non power window option

My 95Z was an M6, no power seats or windows. I was planning to add the power windows but sold it and eventually bought the 97Z I have now.

while z's with crank windows are cool (because so few have 'em), and you'll never have to worry about replacing the crappy motors, try reaching over the console to crank the passenger side shut when a sudden downpour hits. you have to pull over, get out, and shut it from the passenger side. same when you park the car. its a royal PITA

I can roll mine up and down when Im goin down the Hughway. Both of my two f-bodys have had them. After the trouble some of my friends have had with their power window motors, Ill be stickin with the old crankers for a while. Plus its lighter.

Re: Non power window option

The GM shipping weight tables show the added weight of power windows on a Z28 as 2.7#.
