Flame job isn't my cup of tea,but those came out lookin' good!

 

I second that motion. The flames I think are great, but the color? Hey, whatever floats your boat thats what counts though.

And the decals are nice. Brent's are super sweet. I have quite a few on my car, check the sig if you like.

Do you have any close up pics that show the "pearl" effect? I could use some decent pics for my site if you can come up with some in good lighting that show the "pearl" part!

I remember you saying that you repainted the car porsche red. What is the paint code for your particular color becuase it looks damn good. Also how does it compare to Viper Red?

It is pretty close to viper red and same as torch red(corvette). I went with the porshe because it is a little more orangie than anything. Viper red is a darker red and torch red is even more orangie. You have to see them up close and next to each other in order to really see what i am talking about. I forget the code off the top of my head but it is called guards red. Thank you also.

 

Thanks for the comparison, i appreciate it. Im starting to really like your shade of red, i guess becuase its the only pics of red that ive seen that arent stock. If i figure on gaurds red pearl how much dramatic will the pearl effect be in comparison to what you have now. Also do you remember off hand the price of that paint.

Adding pearl over it would give it a darker looking red, more of a candy looking red. It would probally looking very nice and rich looking. It wouldn't make it too much darker but would really stand out in the sun! Enough red to paint your car is about 400-500 for Sikkens paint (this is the one of the best paint compaines out there) Some other paints may be cheaper. Keep in mind though that red is one of or might be the most exspensive solid colors. Enough black or silver to paint your car might only be 250-300(non-metallic) Also take into consideration that pearl is expensive on it's own. You may be looking close to a grand just for paint (guards red + red pearl) I am more than happy to help you with any questions you have, not a problem.

Do you feel the pearl was a noticeable effect. I want to get white or pearl white firebirds on my car but was wondering if its noticeable.
