need advice on repair of damaged front fender
The drivers front fender on my 98Z was scraped by a van's bumper, and also has a small crack in it now. The color of my car is bright green metallic, and I am concerned about how well the paint can be matched. The car only has 17m miles on it and spends most of the time in the garage, so I don't think there has been any significant paint fade. Does anyone know if a small crack can be repaired on these composite fenders, or do I need a new fender? This is my baby, and I don't want it to look like anything has happened to it once it is repaired. Any advise anyone has regarding having something like this repaired is appreciated. I live in the Cincinnati area, so if any of you in this area know of really good repair shops or know of ones to stay away from, that would be a great help too.
Thanks for any help from you guys.

replace the fender, fixing it is only putting a band aid on. I had the fender repaired on my old z28 and even though it looked fine for a while, I was tapped in the back and it cracked again in the same spot. This was repaired by someone who specialized in composites and restoring corvettes and is an NCRS corvette judge so I know it was fixed properly too.
Replace it, you don't want bondo on that fender and if you go to a quality body shop, they'll match the paint exactly and if they don't they'll have to fix it till you like it, but there professionals so they know better.
Im gonna throw this question out there cause body work is being talked about. I have a decent sized scratch on the bumper from scraping a concret pole. About the size of a dollar bill not really deep but the paints gone. So I was thinking of haveing the antenna shaved off at the same time of the fix. What am I looking at for a price. To do both around 450? To shave the antenna what do they do, weld a piece of metal, bondo and paint?
