I'm currently on vacation in South Padre Island, Texas and the car I saw was heavily disguised, and I'm guessing that its a Malibu. The strange thing is, the deminsions looked to be about the same as the CTS. I got some pictures of it, but not on my digital camera. I'll be home this weekend and will try to get the pics developed and scanned asap. Back to the car: It was definately a 4 door. The maskings in the rear suggested that it had stacked tail lamps similar to a CTS. The front looked very much like a Chevy, it had rectangular lamps divided by the infamous "spear" (kinda reminded me of the Trailblazer's front end.). It had some small square fog lights too on it. The plates were manufacturer's. The front fenders had black and white stripes (zebra like ) I was trying to look for a rear differential, but couldn't tell form looking behind it. There were three guys in it, and when they saw me snapping pictures, they just smiled. I'm going to keep my camera with me until we leave, just in case I run into them again.

Overall, the car looked alot like a CTS, but the Chevy front leads me to think its a Malibu.

I'll have the pics up soon, and we'll see what everyone else thinks.

Maybe new Monte or Impala eh? Oh well CTS = good so this should be good too!

 

A new spy pic of the Malibu surfaced this week, and it is zebra striped, just as you described.

That's one benefit to working on the Malibu I guess, you get to go to Padre!

Man, what a boring car.

 

how is that car desguised? It looks like a white car with alot of electric tape all over it. I would think it would attract more attention than anything else. I dont like the car btw... same boring lines of the previous model, and crappier tail lights to boot!

The shape of that car doesn't look like the one I saw at all. The one I saw looked way more Sigma (ie CTS) based on my memory. I'm getting the pics developed tomorrow, I'll try to get them up asap.
