Really!?, the IAT wires were long enough?? Mine was easily 3 inches too short to reach the plug. Maybe you have a different lid, and its positioned different. The MAF wires I could understand. My MAF sensor has been moved for years on my car, I could have cut them when I installed my suncoast WS6 airbox. How much of the lower airbox did you have to shave?

I dunno...like maybe 1/4 of an inch. I could actually close the hood fine with it unshaved and sitting up off the metal! I just sanded it down some since I didn't have longer screws. I left it about an 1/8 inch up still though. There's some pics of it on page 2 on the link in my sig. You can see the IAT wires and the MAF sensor wires. It was a fairly crude quick install since I had somewhere to be and only 30 minutes for the install! But it did the trick. I'll clean it up l8r.

Sweet man, I had no idea you did extractors in the fenders. I am doing a second gen firebird extractor in my fender, shortened about 2-4 inches. Its funny, I just got my fender back from being painted by Whistler. I'll have my new front end on for only a month before I start chopping it up to do a custom front end. Hopefully the end result will be worth having the car down for so many months.

It's always worth it...when you get done...you'll be pleased. You'll have to keep me posted on your progress...I really dig body mods.

Ok Im in the beginning stages of this front end swap and still need some help on what is different? I searched and even found a list of parts with actual part numbers but I also saw a post from someone that has already done this swap that said you had to change hood hinges? I have the fenders, nose, absorber, impact bar, fog lights and brackets and some other front end pieces already. Do I need these hood hinges or anything else that Im missing? I know about the hood and lights but am I missing anything else. You can email me at superkia3@msn.com if you dont want to post.

Thanks in advance,
Rich

yup...chas is right...Take what you have...subtract that from the items on the list...and get the remainder of the parts that you don't have but are still on the list of things to get. Am I missing something? Good luck on it. It's fun.

ReznorZ28,

I was wondering were i could get on of those custom red z28 dash covers that you have. It says on your homepage that you got it for $20.00 shipped. If you make them or could lead me to wear i could find one i would appreciate it because that is exactly what i have been looking for! Please PM me or e-mail me at rfiore@sandiego.edu Thanks again

Also, anyone know where I can get these stripes?

If you are talking about the lower black rock/splash guards then yes, the bolt right up, on the front bumper you can also reuse the turn signals. I can't help you with the stripes.
