well yea of course i just got my check of $667 and just two weeks ago i had a check of $592. It's really not that hard to get money to buy parts i can get a different part(s) every week and yes there is a supercharger for a 3.4 liter. The question is wut part(s) to buy next?

a 97z or ss, maybe even a 98. dude with banged up quater panels, dont even bother. think of it like this, you are on the first steps of becoming a victim of a money pit.

****, my SS has become a money pit. i have over 10k in the motor alone, i only paid 11800 for the car. then throw the rear end in, nitrous, and other parts, and OMG. ill be happy when the car is done, but holly **** this stuff adds up.

the 3.4 is only 160 at the wheels, dont even bother with it. it will become your money pit with OMG diminishing returns. why spend 3-4k on a SC when thats what you paid for the car?

ok ur really cool nothing is impossible i will be very satusfied with my v6 camaro with over 300 hp. Just to laugh and whoop u stock z28's. I can get a supercharger very cheap talking about $600 cheap. But i guess my oil gauge is going crazy dont know what it is maybe just the sensor. What else could it be? I just need advice on what parts to do after my headers, exhaust, shift kit, msd ignition. What would be a next good step?

btw: you would be surprised how close z28 insurance can be to v6 insurance...

yes.. i've sure been there. i'm curious how old this guy is too (keithycamaro)?

I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of this Camaro with it's S/C setup.
Care to provide some?

so youve got a 3.4l camaro....with a busted quarter panel....and no oil pressure...and you want to put a super charger on it....and drop 6-8grand on body mods?

You must be 16 or 17 and have a good imagination.

A hood is going to cost 600 or so for a repro
Front bumper cover 250
pair of fenders prob 300
headlight assemblies 2-300
misc hardware/fasteners/etc 4-500
Wheels/tires 1000-1200
Spoiler 250

That's right around 3k
Then you've gotta pay a body shop to install them and paint them, prob another 2k at least

That doesn't include replacing a quarter panel which is at least another 1500

That's 6500 right there, and when you're all said and done, you could prob sell the car for 4500 if youre really lucky.

How about an M-80 in the gas tank, that's where I would start.

this guy has lost it.

break down:

stock 3.4 = 180 at the fw
sc @ 8psi = 45-50% gain over what is there
THUS is 270, at the flywheel.

so based on your 270 fw hp, accounting for drivetrain loss:
manual: 227 rwhp
auto: 219 rwhp

you will not be beating a stock z if the driver knows whats up. if you are stuck on the sc v6, got get a 3.8 at least and start with 200.

I work with a guy like this!!!!

I work with this guy, who "says" he has a supercharger in a 93 old's cutlass supreme! It supposedly has 300 horses at the front tires When we wanted to see it, at first the hood latch was broken Then one day after work when he couldnt explain where the boost guage dissapeared too (considering he argued us earlier that it had one)!!! He changed his story from it being a Paxton SC to a tottaly different story about how he went to a junkyard and got a SC off an pontiac Bonneville SSEI, so the other day i catch him with his hood open so i take the oppurtunity to see what was under there. i walk over and say, "hey man wheres your supercharger"? Then his story Morphed into how the SSEI SC is not actually a "TRUE" SC and that all the components are internal. like ported intake and heads although his intake manifold was a regular old 3.1!!! Ive had him try to race me many times and every time i ask what happened he has a story about his SC not spooling or losing oil pressure, but as soon as he gets his 86 El Camino down here with the stroked 350SC motor in it Pushin 750rwhp he'll smoke my SS. And if you are wondering NO IM NOT LYING!!!! Theres so many more things i didnt even mention!!!! My point being I think people who live in fantasy worlds are funny!!!! And whoever said that he's young and we were all like that when we were that age, Im 21 and i saved money since i was 16 for my SS wich i recently bought!

Some of you guys need to chill out a little bit.

While I don't think it is really a smart thing to mod the heck out of a V6 myself, if I want to tell him I'll do so in a more adult manner than many of you.

Please, guys, just "be nice".

omfg. For adults you guys sure take the cake for immaturity! Good job!

Honestly though, why the hell do you guys care what he wants to do to HIS car. Last I heard YOUR names were NOT on the title. So what the hell do YOU care? If you're not here to help, WHY bother to post here?
