Hood alignment

Anybody have any useful tips or links on how to get the hood aligned properly? Mine was sticking up about a half inch on the drivers side and wasn't flush. So I started to tinker with it, and ended up making it worse on both sides... Now I am unsure which bolts to move, etc. to get it back to normal.

Re: Hood alignment

Can’t help with the specifics, but here’s a link to a free download of the 1996 factory service manual. 97 is virtually identical to 96. There is a section on body alignment. Not sure what there is specific to the hood, but probably worth looking.

Re: Hood alignment

Thanks, I found a section in there about it. Also took a look at the Haynes manual. Nothing real clear so just kept messing with it. I got the front aligned good, it's just up a bit on the driver's side by the glass. I'll have to keep messing with it.
